The Animal Management Centre at Guildford College is a new state-of-the-art building, providing specialist animal accommodation and high-quality teaching areas for students.
The £3 million centre includes a desert room, a tropical room and a nocturnal room, to house a wider variety of species, enabling them to be studied and cared for in a more natural environment.
The building, which achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating, is a steel framed structure with a combination of flat and mono pitched roofs, solar panels and two irregular ‘pods’ protruding from the rectilinear structure.
