This project involved re-roofing, external repairs and construction of a new external fire escape within an occupied London hospital. Extensive asbestos removal works took place throughout the roof void, and a five‐storey scaffold with a temporary roof was constructed over a large proportion of the exterior.
As the hospital remained open throughout the duration of the contract, careful coordination of the requirements of many stakeholders was required.
