Gloucester City Museum is one of Gloucester’s major tourist attractions. The museum, which originally opened in 1860, resides in a Victorian, Grade II Listed building in the heart of the city.
Goddard Consulting provided CDM services to Gloucester City Council as part of an major renovation project granted by the National Heritage Lottery Fund. The project included extensive asbestos removal works, which preceded the internal and external refurbishment of the building. Simultaneously, a three-storey extension was constructed at Gloucester Folk Museum to create an additional wing at the rear.
