Gloucester City Museum is one of Gloucester’s major tourist attractions. The museum, which originally opened in 1860, resides in a Victorian, Grade II Listed building in the heart of the city.
Goddard Consulting provided CDM services to Gloucester City Council as part of a major renovation project granted by the National Heritage Lottery Fund. The project included extensive asbestos removal works, which preceded the internal and external refurbishment of the building. Simultaneously, a three-storey extension was constructed at Gloucester Folk Museum to create an additional wing at the rear.
