Englefield House, Reading

Since its construction in 1558, Englefield House has undergone a number of alterations and refurbishments.

Goddard Consulting were appointed to the extension and refurbishment of the building’s west wing. The project included the underpinning of the existing retaining wall and the installation of piled foundations.


The sprawling estate which covers 20,000 acres has been used as the back drop for various films such as X–Men: First Class, The King’s Speech and Great Expectations.
